I changed the system variablesCSIDL_PROGRAM_FILES andCSIDL_PROGRAM_FILESX86 to bespeak to the locations I wanted the files stored. And then far, so good.

You lot just need to modify the Environment variables for your system. Which you can access easily in Windows x by opening the start menu and type environment variables, so cull the one that says system. Do this, plus edit the locations in the registry.

I tried both the registry edit and the environment variables edit and later a reboot it'due south however defaulting to C:\Program Files\

I am trying to change the program's default install location so that I don't have to remember to modify C: to E: every time I want to install a plan.

That works only fine.
