ENSCAPE SET Lord's day POSITION/ Set Photographic camera POSITION

    • #one

Is there a reason that in that location are no longer the features to set Enscape to a specific sun position or photographic camera position?

    • #2

nwergin , we stepped over the features for setting the sun settings and camera position of saved views. Nosotros realized that these features are not working consistently or intuitively with every CAD, which is why nosotros decided to remove them in the ii.7 release as the functionality itself is non lost. :)

Y'all tin can still access the source view and change the photographic camera position or sun settings afterwards. However, we are enlightened that some of our users will miss these features. Feel free to give the states feedback on your use cases and the frequency in your usage so that we can evaluate farther changes.

Demian Gutberlet The main way our part was using the part was to be able to compare i view/ space at different points in the year. We created independent views that carried the sun settings for the Wintertime Solstice, Summer Solstice, Spring Equinox, and Autumnal Equinox(See prototype below). We would and then use the set sun position function to permit us to quickly motility through the different times of year in dissimilar spaces without having to create multiple views for each space or editing the source sunday settings each time we wanted to compare the space in the summer to the winter. If this could be a function that was rethought and brought back in a later version i remember it would be beneficial.

I have likewise noticed that the view list is no longer in alphabetical order, is at that place a reason for that change equally well?

nwergin I volition second your query - alphabetical order was very helpful and matched our Revit files nicely, no the list appears to be all over the testify?

I have besides noticed that the view list is no longer in alphabetical order, is there a reason for that modify likewise?

nwergin I will 2nd your query - alphabetical lodge was very helpful and matched our Revit files nicely, no the list appears to exist all over the show?

This is caused past a bug, but this will resolved with two.7.1 which will release soon - afterward the views will be sorted alphabetically again.

Feel gratuitous to requite us feedback on your use cases and the frequency in your usage so that nosotros tin can evaluate further changes.

Yes, delight put those features dorsum. They were very useful!

Mayhap I won't miss them every bit much for new and future views, but for at present, all my former views seem much harder to manage than earlier!

Sometimes I find a good sunday angle for ane new view and I want it applied to views I've already created. How can I practice this now with the latest interface?

Welcome to our forum @daniel_B , no plans to bring this back, although we're at present aware that some people would similar to actually take implemented once again - mayhap in another form. Forwarding your feedback, cheers!

jdigiacomo , welcome to our forum too, I've gladly forwarded your feedback too - at least at the moment you'll have to setup the sun's position manually in the views and then simply make sure to salvage the changes.

Can you give an update on this? We take xl+ 3D views saved in our Revit model. I would like to suit the lord's day to the desired position and salvage for each view. Right at present when I exercise the 'batch render' of all of these views they all have the same sun setting. I am working effectually this by going view-by-view adjusting the sun setting and rendering individually. I do not desire to have to create a new view template for each of these views in Revit to become the desired result. I am currently using version 2.5.3 considering I tried out a newer version and experienced bugs so I reverted dorsum. If beingness able to set the lord's day setting per view has been added to the newest version, I volition happily effort it out. Cheers!

Yes, I desperately need to be able to set the sun location/ time of 24-hour interval for renderings. The dominicus location is key to every architect's design. Nosotros pattern most of the time based on the sun's and other site specific, natural element locations. This is Architect 101. If you are selling this software to architects, then assigning lord's day locations should exist a top priority.

The dominicus location comes from Revit. Make sure to set the view to a solar study for a single mean solar day. Enscape will read the lord's day location. This is Revit 101. If you are using Enscape for compages, assigning the location of the sun properly in Revit should be a superlative priority.
